Ectopic Johnston
Compared to the many poorly managed, much smaller, half way houses out there for people in recovery, Opal is a pretty decent place that affords an opportunity for women to grow in an environment of relative oversight/accountability. They are lucky to have a good amount of support in their community given how rural it is and are intrinsically tied to Glenbeigh in Rock Creek virtue of the relative distance. The owner/operator could use a lesson in trauma related care and to understand the ugliness of her sometime punitive responses (apathy/arrogance), but she has some of her own baggage to contend with no doubt. Individual therapy might be a good start. Everybody should keep up on their individual work when they manage others, especially those in a stressful environment managing people experiencing greater difficulties in life/trauma.
