Where do I start ....Well I moved my mother in New Dawn (L.Kutcher) August 16, 2019 ...We was Welcomed with open arms and ALL the staff was very helpful and nurses very understanding with what care my mother needed ( she came from another n.home ,bad experience) so I was Very cautious where I moved her , A few of my friends have worked at New Dawn in the past and told me good things about New Dawn , even tho it is 30min from family it is worth the drive because I know and feel really good and comfortable about New Dawn ...everybody is sooo nice !! I wanted to comment on the therapy dept. I seen today while I was there during my mothers therapy it was hard seeing mom decline but after talking to therapists name J.P .what a awesome lady , she helped me understand how mom is changing and what to expect in the future ...even tho she had me crying ! It help me so much to just enjoy the good days with Mom and not to worry that she isnt moving as she was in the past ..I want to Thank the therapy dept on how hard they are working with mom even tho she gives you a hard time some days ! I highly recommend New Dawn to anyone that is looking for family ...Thank you all for all your hard work you have done so far with my Mother and she has only been there 3 weeks ! I just makes me feel sooo much better knowing she is getting great care ...God bless all the wonderful workers !

I have heard through residents families and former employees that since New Dawn was bought out that the state of this facility has degraded. The most concerning thing as of recently is that residents are limited to one brief over the midnight shift no matter how soiled they may be. They also shut an entire kitchen down and laid off half the staff only days before Christmas. Also people that have been employees here for decades are making less than people with a fraction of experience they have. I would never put a loved into this facility. The new owners are only in it for the money. They do not care for the residents only themselves. When these people came in they said that they wouldnt change anything at all and have done nothing but change almost every aspect of this facility not for the better. Its a shame that they are putting Perry and his familys name to shame.

Don't go any where near this place if you want your loved ones to have decent care. This was sold December 1st to a New Jersey company that has 30 other nursing homes. Before this takeover we couldn't have asked for a better place. We were called to a meeting before the change over and told NOTHING would change by the new owners. All lies. Everything has changed. Staff that hasn't been fired is quitting. There isn't enough staff for basic care. Food quality went right down the toilet and portion sizes have been cut. My mother has been served food she couldn't even identify, and would not eat. Most foods are served room temperature to cold. Food that has been ordered is often not available and something else is substituted because the food they've offered isn't in stock. Medications have been delivered when convenient not when needed, and some mornings they haven't had enough staff to deliver fresh water. This is strictly a money making machine and they have no empathy or concern about the people living there. And we look for it to get worse.
