I live 1250 miles away and every time I come up to visit my parents the staff remembers me and welcomes me back. My parents were not very active anymore but once'd they moved in here all that changed. They are very happy here and have a lot of friends to talk to now. The place is always clean and in great shape when I come to visit.

My mother has lived at Danbury for years. While it is mostly a nice place to live, quiet and all, the 'housekeeping' is non-existent. I am the only one who dusts my mother's apartment and I'm sure she is not an isolated example. As this service is rumored to be included in the rent, either the rent should be lowered or the service should be provided. I have complained numerous times at the front desk, taken the dirty paper towels used in cleaning, and nothing has been done about it. I will once again be cleaning her apartment this week, while she pays a very high cost for rent. Unacceptable! (My review is for the main building, independent living.)
