Evergreen surroundings are beautifuul. Admissions staff were very friendly and accommodating. Then it all stops. The care my family memberReceived there is absolutely barbaric. Sadie the charge nurse does Not care acknowledge or return phone calls or emails. Even in an emergency. Additionally, she is unable to work independently. You have to hold her hand an constantly babysit her. Evergreens mission states their care is so superior that they give families peace of mind that their loved ones are cared for. We had absolutely none of that. We paid extra for cleaning & laundry once a week. No one did it. 6-8 loads were piled up undone. Food comes old and cold and nasty. Staff stand around the hallways and in the lounge watching tv when they should be delivering hot meals and checking in residents. Even during a fire alarm no one checked. Any time we ask a question or need something basic they pass it off; ' we don't do that' is an all too common response. Our family member sustained a serious injury and no one did an assessment. Nor did they send the patient for medical care. Nothing. Zip! Patients are suffering from lack of care, untreated injuries as the nursing staff stated, 'because we don't have first aid supplies'. Or they are too busy watching tv in the patient lounge & standing around in the hallways. Malnourishment & dehydration and life threatening neglect and abuse are ongoing. Completely manageable! There are more patients dying from neglect & abuse at Evergreen than from COVID19. Staff frequently observed not wearing masks the past 3 months. Administration & staff are very rude and get into power struggles w families & make nasty condescending smart aleck responses as if to empower themselves. Clearly, the more care your loved one requires the more barbaric the treatment they get at Evergreen. There is no respect at all. Staff thrive on Disrespect neglect & abuse. Prisoners get treated better than this. They stick patients in a room & never ask if they needed anything. There was no soap towels or blankets. they could have offered to have the tv turned on at least. Nothing. Tvs and appliances are broken time & time again. Week after week of work order phone calls & follow ups have gone through & nothing is resolved. Broken tubs & showers for months. Still Not working. They simply do Not Care! Some of the patients look like combat victims. The 'Heros' sign needs to come down. These are not Heros. These are uncivilized brutal cowards. All a mirror reflection of administration & of Bill and Sadie. They can't create positive safe and healthy change in a barbaric system surrounded by beautiful grounds and sales reps use to get patients roped in. Evergreen should feel very ashamed of how they treat others, who they are, where they work and who they work with.

Did a tour and I believe it will be a great move for my sister. Very nice staff, living options are well explained, grounds are well kept.
