Best years of my mother's life. We had moved my mom here from FL last year to live a long and happy life. Sadly she died suddenly but not before spending at least 15 of the happiest years of her life at Atria. She had made a lot of friends not only with the residents but also the staff, who were always wonderful to us and to her. They always did what they said they would, kept a watchful eye on her, and helped whenever needed. The living accommodations are top notch, the food is amazing, and the staff is great. What more could you want?

My parents were at Atria Oakridge for over 5 years. It is a great place! They have activities for the residents and there's always something to do if the resident chooses. My parents chose to do less, but they still enjoyed it there. There are doctors offices and shopping nearby so you don't have to worry about them having to drive far ... plus Atria Oakridge offers bus trips to the stores. The food was excellent and going to dinner was a social event for them. They really enjoyed it. The best part of Atria Oakridge, however, is the caring staff. My dad struggled with illness toward the end of his stay at Atria Oakridge, and the staff not only helped with anything needed, but they also checked in on my Mom during my Dad's hospital stay. We had a great experience there....5 stars!

I just recently helped my grandmother move to Atria. Shes been there for about 3 weeks! She absolutely loves it! She loves the activities, entertainment, the food, and the amazing staff! We have had a very seamless transition. All of our needs have been met, our questions answered, and we feel like this is a great fit for my family! Thank you all for helping Greatma get settled.

My father has been living there since June. Prior to moving him there, my siblings and I investigated 30 different places, visited 6 and chose Atria Oakridge. We are glad we did. Dad, who never thought he could be happy anywhere but in his own home, enjoys his lovely apartment, the compassionate and responsive staff, and the good food.

What a beautiful place right? And tasty food too! And promises of care and worry-free financials. Its like a Jedi mind trick really. Dont worry - they will tell you exactly what you want to hear. But remember the days of honor when you could take someone at her word, and a promise was a promise? Atria Oakridge promises NOT to deliver on promises they make because whoever is speaking with you, or writing you is not authorized to make said promises and will be held harmless with nothing more than an apology. Even when hundreds and thousands of dollars are on the table. Or even worse, the healthcare of you or your loved one. Are you the type of person that can learn from others mistakes or do you need to find out on your own? Either way I wish you well and pray that ours was an isolated incident. Is it worth it to you to gamble? Why so many stars? Because when people are looking for someplace and they really hope this is the place, you are most likely going to read those reviews that support your decision. Just as I wanted for my mother. But I urge you to persevere and ask the hard questions- TRAINED staff to resident ratio. What happens if you find her out of sorts for an extended period of time? Why have 24-hour care if you cant even help her into or out of a chair should she need it? Independent Living is that stage prior to your loved one needing more help and possibly moving into an Assisted Living Facility or sadly a nursing home. So shouldnt the staff be able to recognize some of the warning signs? If they cant help with that then maybe just an apartment would do? But they have all these cool activities! Yes they do! The good days are easy - you need to know who will be there on the hard days - to know your loved one is getting the proper care. When mom or dad rings the call bell, will the person responding KNOW what to look out for? Will they keep records so that should that information be important later, it could be used? Atria Oakridge appears to not keep sufficient records that could help your loved one. Or will Staff just brush off something serious because they are busy or untrained? Sadly you may not know until it is too late. In these times there are many choices for Independent Living, if only I had asked about how they would handle the not so good days. But then again, I can safely presume I would have just heard yet another empty promise from the unempowered staff. If you are reading this, best of luck to you and yours! May your experience, wherever you go, be better than ours at Atria Oakridge.
