This place is close to hell! The staff is inconsiderate and heartless. They allowed a family member to die without the decency to call when they became sick. The only call we received was when they died. Someone dropped the ball and should apologize to the family. They called any other time but this particular time they didnt have a number. Smh not professional at all.

This place is very unprofessional. I do not for the life of me understand how a business could function so poorly. Our family is shocked and devastated about the lack of communication and the treatment of our family member that passed away there WITHOUT any communication about the relatives condition until his passing. Do not send your family there.

Not at all thrilled with this nursing center. A family member had been sick without any of our knowledge and passed away. Two different nurses have told us two different stories. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I DO NOT recommend this place at all..I found my mom twice where she needed to go to hospital and the first time the RN tried and tried to talk me out of sending her..she also lied to ems about when moms goose egg on forehead and black eyes happened..Ive never heard a good word about universal from people who have had love ones there...So if you have a love one there please please stay on top of things and stand up for them..I pulled my mom from there...when someone who works at social services hears your mom is there and they say watch your mama..That told me a lot....

I have been at Universal Resthome for rehab on my knee since March 26. I know this is an experience that has taught me to appreciate life more and I know it could have been the other way. As I leave i want to thank the staff on 400/500 halls; my physical/occupational therapy crew Chris, Ian, Brina, Deborah, and Eryn without them i wouldn't be walking; DON Rhonda; there is one special lady Mama D (my roomie) I am going to truly miss. She kept me humble and made me stronger! I have never known how much of an impact I have had on some of the residents and staff here until I let them know I was leaving. I'm walking out of here with a newness and I'm going to use what I have learned! Even if you don't have anyone here or in any resthome, please visit, bring a gift, donate your time you will see how much it means to them. Thank you Universal Resthome! Forever grateful!
