My granma was in great physical health. She just has dimensia. She was starting to forget to take her medicine sometimes. That's how she ended up in a nursing home. My aunt had her put there using the court. We didn't even get a chance to try home care. Mountain View is the first place her medical guardian put her. They kept her doped up all the time. She couldn't walk after 2 weeks of being there. They even let her get dehydrated and she had a UTI which they basically ignored. The guardian had to be contacted multiple times to get her treated in a hospital. The place is run down and it's horrible. She's in another place now and has only been there 3 weeks and doing GREAT. She's walking all over again. She's not doped up out of her mind. She knows exactly what's going on. Don't take your loved one to mountain view!!!!!

The staff at the facility truly loves every patient they care for like their own. The environment is very calm and quiet which is great for Alzheimers/dementia patients. The smaller facility allows for more one on one contact with each resident. If a patient goes on Hospice at any time, the nurses and staff that come out are amazing as well.

Facility Director lacks compassion and needs to allow patients to communicate with their families. My Mother requested a priest to visit her and the facility director denied her request. My Mother and I requested 11 months ago to be taken to her dermatologist to have the rest of her face CANCER be removed, the facility director stated an apointment was made, NOT the truth!. The CANCER is spreading to her eye. As her daughter I was told by Mitchell County DSS, I could take her to her doctor, since they are her guardian. The facility director denied that request. I also inquired why treatment for my Mother's Diabetics and C.O.P.D. had been discontinued. The Director told me I had no voice in my Mother's care! When I made a report against the Director, my Mother's purse with her Wallet, all her ID and her Galaxy cell phone was taken from her by the Director. This was done to cut all communications between my Mother and myself, her daughter. At this time my Mother is NOT allowed ANY visitors or phone calls. She is locked up 24/7. I have asked the facility director to return her Galaxy Cell Phone, that the Director stated was locked up in her office. Now the phone has disappeared! I demand that this facility Director return this phone or replace it, immediately!! I, so state this Director had NO right to take a patient's property and IS accountable for her actions. I purchased this phone for my Mother, NOT for this Director. Now I ask, if this was your loved one what actions would you take??

I was referred here by a specialist at Park Ridge Memory care unit. I then found out that one of my mom's caregivers had a grandmother living there for 8 years and highly recommended them. My mom was very well cared for there. The staff was the most attentive I have ever seen. They always went the extra mile for my mom and her family. There aren't enough words to write how much we appreciated all they did for my Mom. These are very fine people. The facility has new paint and new floors, and is homey and comfortable. It does not look like a modern hospital, but more of a home. They have birds, an aquarium and horses outside. My mom loved it.

My father found this place while looking for a home for his wife who was suffering from stage seven Alzheimers The setting is very pretty but to be honest with the Facility is a bit run down. But my step mother was never worried about having a pretty or new environment. Once she was admitted we found out just how great the care was there. The staff went above and beyond what was expected as to even calling us after hours and sharing cell phone numbers with us once my stepmother was near the end of her life. The attention to detail and the amount of care staff provided was excellent They made a tough situation a lot more bearable
