Eagle's Pointe

My mother has been at this facility for about 2 months max. This place is understaffed and the staff they do have are very uninformed. My mother has brain cancer which has metastasized throughout her body, well they let her pain medicine run out and I called them and questioned them and the nurse ask me where her pain was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TO MY KNOWLEDGE CANCER IS A VERY PAINFUL DISEASE ESPECIALLY WHEN IT HAS SPREAD ALL OVER YOUR BODY AND THE NURSE/person on phone (not sure they are a nurse) ASKED ME WHERE THE PAIN WAS, WHAT ABOUT ALL OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She also has two deteriorated rotary disc in BOTH shoulders has had two knee replacements that are worn out, degenerative arthritis, and nephropathy from having diabetes and YET SHE ASKED ME WHERE HER PAIN IS? that was about the most insane question I have ever had to answer. WHAT ABOUT ALL OVER YOU THINK!!!!! WEll here is the GREAT news! She still has had no pain meds. What kind of a place is this? I am going to find out I am filing every kind of complaint with the state that can be filed. I have already started. They moved her from a room where another patient urinated everywhere to a room that is full of moths that another patient brought in her belongings and they put some cedar chips in her room... WHAT ABOUT ORKIN??? All that aside she has still yet to have pain medication. They said she has seen a doctor and she has not, I called the doctor today and they were closed. the doctor is in Greenville. The staff member that takes care of the distribution of medicines, said she just ran out and the way the meds are treated there who knows where or who got the meds. Other people are finding them in their loved ones bed and every pill is supposed to be accounted for, who accounted for those??? The place needs EXTREME TRAINING program put in order or the doors need to be shut. The medicine distribution is beyond words. Everything is always someone else's responsibility. YEP 2 DAYS AND A TERMINAL CANCER PATIENT GOES WITHOUT PAIN MEDS. Class act! If I had the means I would put her elsewhere, but I do not. Train wreck is what they have there!

short staff all the time med tech sleep in theater room employees treated unfair ..the residents dont get cleaned like they supposed to

my mother has been at this facility for about 2 years now and though we have had complaints we have been pretty much satisfied with her treatment here , as some have stated they are at times understaffed , but as of right now they have the best staff to date , some of course better than others , but over all if she has to be in a facility due to Dementia , the facility is as good or better than any in the area and at a lower cost ...
