August Estates at Umstead Pines Family Care Home

My time spent caring for the residents here was amazing. The owners and staff are one of a kind. Loved every minute of it!

I interviewed to work at this family care home. Unfortunately, my current schedule would not allow me to continue the hiring process. I have over 20 years of experience in the health care field and I was very impressed by the owner, staff and beautiful home. It was easily noticed that the residents are cared for and loved. August Estate you ROCK!

Our mother was lucky enough to be able to live at August Estates for a year. We firmly believe that the attentive, compassionate and loving care that the staff and owners provided extended her life and made her last year the best possible. Mom felt that August Estates was her home and she loved her care giver family! We never doubted that her care was of utmost importance and her every need was anticipated, acknowledged and taken care of. We felt reassured that she was well taken care of, safe and content. As her dementia progressed and end of life approached, the loving care that she received was beyond what we could have hoped for. Working with the Duke hospice the team the owners and staff at August Estates made Mom's final weeks as comfortable as possible for Mom and our family. We owe the owners and their staff our deepest gratitude for the loving care that they provided to our Mom and to our family. Should the need arise for someone in your family, we recommend without any reservation August Estates and hope that you get the privilege of being part of their family. The house is very comfortable and in a beautiful and quiet location. The screened porch provides a peaceful place to enjoy the surroundings and the sounds of nature.

Terrible place, too many people in a crowded space. Not sure about license for holding the pharmaceuticals they have.

Not the nicest place. Plenty better in Raleigh. The staff have tattoos all over, which we did not like and they over charge on pricing and med service.
