Been going here since the early 80s. With my father.. Members are awesome always.. Great place for a event

This place is located in Syracuse Falls Valatie County. The area is very beautiful and quiet. A few houses line either side of the main road heading towards the VFM entrance. The driver must turn off this main road to the smaller road leading to the building and picnic area.This building can be used in winter time. In additionstones are spread over the entire grounds. In the back of that main building is a clearing; a type of shed building with no walls is located in this area. Sturdy wooden beams hold the high wooden ceiling in place. The open shed has long picnic-type tables that can be moved to any position needed but must be returned to the original positions before leaving. The clearing is surrounded by beautiful woods- which should not be entered because of various `critters` and possible poison ivy-and there are restroom facilities for male and female. The entire area is well kept. There is also an outdoor cooking area and a waterhose to help with washing any cooking/eating equipment. Two big fans are built into the wooden side panels of the overhead ceiling that is part of the eating area. They do help cool the air a little. All in all a very nice place for meeting picnics etc. I believe there is a renting schedule with a feeone would have to inquire.
