I had a family member there a few years ago and it was not bad. We went there because it was close to home. I agree it could have been better but the care was good. A few weeks ago I visited another family member there that was also there for rehab and I must say... What an improvement! Staff is friendly and helpful. Building is clean and my family member had only nice things to say. I like that it's smaller than the average Nursing Home because the staff knew my family member by name. It really is worth a second chance. Both my family member would return to Verrazano Nursing Home if they ever need rehab in the future.

It is so sad to see how disgusting this place is. The residents are in dayroom with very little intervention. Who is in charge??

One bathrooms per every 4 residence this facility is old run down and dirty. Keep away unless you have no choice or don't care for your loved ones.
