I am the daughter of a patient. I have never had an issue with any of the staff....always professional and courteous and attentive. My Mom has stated the same. She has been a patient for almost 5 years, so that's very good. The only frequently occurring issue is with the temperature of the food and beverages. More often than not, the food and 'hot' drinks are cool......barely lukewarm. The other issue is also regarding food. Mom gets the same canned or fresh fruit for 3 meals a day, for several days in a row. A banana for breakfast, lunch and supper for 2 or 3 days in a row....or fruit cocktail morning, noon and night for several days. Last week it was fresh apple slices. She totally appreciates the fresh fruit, but not the same fresh fruit 3 meals a day for days. There has to be a way to minimize these issues. I realize fresh fruit spoils quickly, so the goal to use it quickly to avoid loss but nursing home patients look forward to their meals and to be served cold food and drink is a real disappointment.
