Had me drive 30 minutes for a interview and they werent even there

Posting this review for a dear friend of mine that had to encounter this horrible experience. Today was one of the worst days of my life ! As you all know my mami passed away 6/17/19 . My Mami was living in an assisted living for over 7 years @highlandassistedliving. She was comfortable there , thats where her friends were . On Thursday 6/13 my Mami was found unresponsive on the floor due to cardiac arrest . We dont know how long she was Unresponsive . She was eventually considered brain dead due to no oxygen to her brain . On 6/20 we had to let my mom go the day my mother passed I went to her home to make sure her belongings were still there and advise them that I would come and get my Mamis belongings (6/20) . On 6/26/19 we had my mamis awake. On Friday 6/28/19 I called Highland assisted living and advise that I would come by and and pick up her stuff. Staff asked if i would like them to pack it . I said no I want to pack my mamis stuff myself . They advise me its not a problem and no one would touch my mothers belongings. On 7/1/19 I go to retrieve my mamis belongings and her room was ransacked. They threw away her bedding stole her jewelry, perfumes and clothing. I walked into a half packed room. The supervisor said my mom never had bedding only what they provided which is false because the bedding she had I bought her for Mothers Day. Once I told the supervisor I was there on Monday and laid on my moms bed which had her bedding on it she stated the paramedics took it and threw it out because it was soiled. Again I advised her the paramedics came on Thursday 6/13 I went there on 6/20 and laid on her bed . My mamis room was still in tact . Her bedding was still on her bed . I laid down on it ! She then said the aids threw it out ! What? Why? I had already called and stated I would pick it up. When I told her my mamis belongings were missing she said no they are not no one has access to your moms room . She comes upstairs to my mothers room and sees her belongings are packed her bed had the facility bedding and half of her things are missing . She says the aids had to pack it up . Hold up you just said no one has access to my mamis room and no one touched her stuff !! . Which one is it!!! I am so hurt . I feel my mother was so disrespected!! All I wanted was to get my Mamis belongings but someone else felt they should have it . I filed a police report and spoke to nys dept of health but I feel like its not enough. Highland assisted living needs to be closed down! They have no heart sympathy or compassion for your loved ones . To steal from the deceased is as low as low can go then to lie to me in my face not once but multiple times !! I dont want another family to have to go threw this.
