I haven't got enough words to praise the unbelievable & devoted staff at 'The Whitefish Center' I have been here for quite a while now, they have recently transitioned under new ownership with a really experienced group & they're improving by the day!!! This has really turned into a 'FIVE STAR FACILITY'!!! Especially during COVID-19 they came through with flying colors!!! Keep it Up!

I worked here and was fired in March of this year due to having maxed my call off limit while having a fever during the big effect of the pandemic and choosing to protect the patients and not go into work. I tried contacting them several times and I felt as thought they deliberately ignored my attempts in controlling the situation and understanding why I was punished for following a health protocol for the clinic. I had given a notice of my intent to self quarantine to my manager MacLaine weeks prior to this and when I had let him know I was going to go on self quarantine, I was fired. I would like to get it cleared up and put past me but even months later I am receiving repercussions being denied unemployment assistance due to something I feel was injustly handled. Primarily due to how I have been treated even after no longer working there I would not wish that kind of lack of disregard or emotional abuse my coworkers and I went through while working there on even my worst enemy. If this place could be given a negative star I would have given it.

I have brain cancer. My rehab started there. I need inpatient chemo. They were totally aware of the entire process. They refused to take me back. The oncologist called and assured them there were no precautions. They changed their mind and day of pick up called one hour before pick up refused me again. My family lives 25 minutes away. The only other VA contracted facility is 65 miles away making it difficult for family to visit. This is totally unacceptable. They dont care about what were all going through. I believe they dont want the bother of a chemo patient. written by wife Barb

Every place has their Up's and Downs but I've never worked for a place that makes me feel like you're part of a family. I work for a lot of places they claim they have the residents best interests at heart! But after working there you realize it's always about the money! But not here they truly do care about their residence and their staff.
