Garden View Care Center at Dougherty Ferry

I absolutely love working here! I work in activities and have been there for about 2 months. I love the care, empathy, sympathy and love that is shown to the residents, family, and staff. I love the residents to death. Ive had the food. It looks great and tastes great. Residents gobble it down. Our nurses and aides clearly love the residents and their families. They care for them so well. The activity director is fantastic. Very kind and loving. Absolutely adores the residents. The activities that are offered are so cool! The activity department is great. Good people. Our administrator is sweet, empathetic, and sympathetic. Shed rather be with residents than in the office but she does what she has to do in the office. She sees the residents as people not money. She clearly understands that it is a business that needs to make money but she also sees that it is where the residents call home and she always works with those perspectives in mind. That is how an administrator of a nursing home should be. If your looking for a nursing home to work at apply here. You wont regret it. If your looking for a place for a loved one come here. You wont regret it.

I recently had a experience at Garden View as a hospice nurse w a mutual client. I've been in the medical field my whole life, and have been in many and dealt w numerous facilities during my career. But I could not have been more impressed with this facility and its management and staff!!! This building is beautiful, clean, and staffed adequately with pleasant, caring and knowledgeable staff members. They welcomed me in, and worked side by side w me w respect to ensure that 'our' patient was cared for appropriately. Anyone looking for a great home for your loved one, or anyone in the medical field looking for a new place of employment that has management that appreciates and cares for their staff, this is the place!

We feel so fortunate to have my husband at GVCC Dougherty Ferry. The entire staff, not just medical related, but housekeeping. kitchen, maintenance, etc. makes a personal connection with the residents. They all work as a team and treat the residents as if they were their own family members.The medical staff is very competent and conscientious. Communication between GVCC and family members is high. Each time I visit, I am grateful that for my husband is being cared for there.

Ive been working for Garden View for almost a year and truly enjoy coming to work every day! We have a really wonderful team and everyone works extremely well together. The residents and families are such a pleasure to work with and you can tell that the staff treats them like family. The facility is always very clean and smells fresh. The environment is very inviting and home-like. The residents have fun as well as the staff. One thing that really makes a difference is that it is a fun and friendly environment. We all get along very well and respect each other, which allows for a positive team environment. I have truly been blessed with the best boss any employee could ask for. Our administrator, Courtney Nieves, is what makes the difference at this facility. The residents and I would certainly recommend Garden View to any of my family or friends.

I have volunteered here since August, and having worked first-hand with the residents, I have seen how carefully and efficiently everyone here does their job. I now know how personalized each residents day-to-day lives are, and being part of the activities team, I see how the fun games we play and the music we sing greatly affect these people.
