My 95 year old grandfather fell tonight and could not get any help so he called his girlfriend that is also a resident, who in response called us. We called for an hour and a half before we had anyone answer our emergency call in to beg them to help him. We were forced to call the police to the building at 10 pm to do a wellness check to make sure he was alright. The only reason he is ok was because of his friend with dementia that called us and we called the police. She was wandering the building looking for help and still found no one! We are sick over this and now are wondering how many more times this occurred while he has lived there. The staff said the reason they didnt answer the phone even though the could hear it ringing repeatedly for over an hour was because they were understaffed and didnt want to answer it because they were putting residents to bed and handing out pills. There needs to be a better system in place for emergencies such as this. This is neglect! He could have bled out in this time. They also told me that he didnt fall and that he was found sitting on the floor so it isnt considered a fall!!!! A 95 year old man sitting on the floor in skilled nursing one day after a hospital stay! We are reporting to the state and the facility about their care of their residents tomorrow morning. There was no way we could have gotten in the building due to covid to help him ourselves. Thank God for our Police that responded and also followed up with us after they took care of him. The facility didnt even call us after the nurse looked him over they said that was the policemans job.

My father just returned back home from there. They do not refund unused rent, they have never submitted the LT insurance forms , they are not returning my voicemails concerning the doctor ordered wheelchair paid by Medicare. My father fell several times, pulled the call light, he ended up CRAWLING to the doorway for help. Several times waited more than 30 min for assistance in the bathroom. They would rather your loved one use diapers than assist. One aid told my brother 'she couldn't help him because she didn't know him.' Residence started June- mid August 2019

It became apparent that our Mom needed to move from her home to a smaller place. We found Windsor Estates Independent Living. The facility is very well run, clean and caring, Every staff member we have interacted with is friendly, willing to help and seems to genuinely care about the residents. Moving. a loved one to assisted care of always hard. The folks at Windsor Estates make this a much easier decision.

Windsor Estates does not pay their vendors. They give excuses and do not pay their Bill's. Take advantage of small business owners and cheat them out of money. After providing services for them, we are still waiting for payment from January.

My mom was discharged from the hospital and sent to Windsor Estates to the Skilled nursing facility, i was not too impressed with her room, lots of scratches and scrapes on the walls, missing blinds for the windows, the handicapped rails for her toilet were cracked and had duct tape holding it together. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because everyone was very nice and helpful to my mom.
