Conditions at Odessa Senior Housing have deteriorated over the past several years. Flooding is a major issue at the complex. Drainage needs to be added or improved. Anytime there is a significant amount of rain you can find standing water at the complex. This is a danger to senior citizens who have mobility issues as well as a health risk. It has also caused severe damage to residents vehicles. Management refuses to address concerns of the residents. One particular resident has caused numerous incidents of distress to the other residents. Several of the residents made complaints against this individual to management. Nothing was done to this individual as management choose to consider these complaints as 1 incident instead of numerous incidents to avoid dealing with the matter. Furthermore, security is a concern. There are several areas with little to no lighting and an empty lot that backs parts of the property. Residents are at a greater risk for theft/burglary. Management should be concerned with the safety of the residents. Instead they choose to focus on matters such as how many flowers a resident may have outside their apartment. Many of these residents have little to look forward to take pride in decorating the small areas outside their apartments. The residents were recently served a letter requiring them to remove all personal items from the side of their property for curb appeal. Some of these residents have spent countless hours maintaining a small garden at their own expense. Now they are being required to remove these items in middle of winter. Management needs to focus on important issues and stop harassing the residents over senseless issues.

If the sign says no parking, than someone is probably parking there. There are some issues with parking as a whole, and getting around can be a bit bothersome.
