Paula greeted me without wait and was able to guide me in the right direction and that was to Tonya the LPN on shift. Both ladies were extremely polite, and so helpful . This place is absolutely beautiful and its the first facility Ive been in that not only looked clean but also smelled clean. I give them 5+ rating because all around experience was excellent.

Mom has been in there since June. She has dementia and hides her personal items. Staff is really patient with her and finds all of her items. Addington Place is clean and the food is good. She has a great room and plenty of activities that she participates in. Would definitely recommend Addington Place.

Awful company. Only in it for the money. I don't think the manager even knows what he's doing. Staff frequently lounging and not interacting with the residents. Keep searching if you want your loved one truly cared for. They've done renovations but what's that saying? It's like putting lipstick on a pig?

Addington Place did a superb job for my Mom. She was a big challenge having lots of health problems but they did a wonderful job. Mom declined and moved to 'Memory' care from the Assisted living . I would visit my Mom on Sundays and after work and the staff would always go the extra mile. Your family is not perfect and neither is any assisted living facility, but I do recommend Addington Place. At the very end Mom needed hospice and I sat several days in her room. I ate the food just like the residence and it was good. Mom was very limited on speech due to small strokes so we were very thankful that they took extra time with her. Staff would update us on what she needed and how she was doing. Lots of good communication going out to and from her son.

Very, very bad overall. I cannot and would not suggest this facility to anyone looking. If you have to drive an hour away to keep your love ones in an assisted facility, do it. It starts with the people at the top and between the overall complacency and lack of accountability for all who are in charge at this location, I am baffled how they got to where they are. Not only should Abram and Jason not be in charge of running the day to day operations of this establishment, they shouldn't have the ability to be door greeters at the Walmart. They hired a career criminal to work here, they provided that employee keys to the facility and failed to get them back prior to firing him. This led to that employee letting himself in one night after the kitchen had closed and he helped himself to a week full of groceries. What else could that employee have done? Is this the first time this has happened? Could he have accessed the rooms? How much harm could this disgruntled employee have done given the ability he had to access the facility at his leisure. Furthermore, they hang their employees out to dry when faced with the consequences of their actions, specifically a 17 year old who secured this as his first job. Terrible to think that grown men shy away from a teaching moment and instead, through their own lack of action and inability to be accountable, throw a young man under the bus to save face. I hope that you will consider other options, this place is NOT worth what you are paying for. Absolutely Terrible.

My daughters and I love going to hang out with our friends at Addington Place. The community is beautiful and well-maintained, and is always looking for ways to include their residents in activities with the surrounding community - holiday parties, 'adopting a grandparent' through our school, and more. We like to visit our friends in the memory ward and do art activities with them. The residents are always smiling and truly seem to enjoy their home. Staff are always polite and help engage the residents in our activities!!!

My mom moved into Addington Place a couple weeks ago. Prior to this, as I searched for a potential memory care environment for her, I was in contact with Patt and Kim. They were helpful, but not pushy as I searched for the best place for my Mom. After research and recommendations from friends, I felt SO was the best place for her. Her transition has gone smoothly this far and the staff has been very helpful and kind. I highly recommend Addington Place of Shoal Creek!

If I could rate no stars I would. The type of respect they have for these residents is so uncalled for. These residents pay anywhere from $4000-$7000 a month. They dont get changed like they should , the food is horrible is isnt taken care of Ive seen the fridge the inside of the fridge. Call lights going off for 60 minutes. They cant run a business. I was fired Christmas Eve by the manager then two days later she got fired and I couldnt get my job back. The type of disrespect I have got from them isnt professional and this place deserves to be shut down. Tammy , Nathan , Alissa all the head people are 2 faced will smile in your face but gossip bad about residents, the employees. Ive seen certified cnas and rns mistreat the residents, cuss in front of them and steal pills. Dont ever put your family here unless you want them to die. There was a man who was dead for a hour no one knew then they he no one certified to give him cpr. Its crazy. Please take my word for all of this.

I have experience the transition to the new owners. I think they're trying to show off for the investors. Food , activities and care have all suffered a lot .The constant turnover of employees have left the residents in an awkward situation. The new regional mgr. Says he is working on it . Time will tell. The damage had already been done before he showed up, so it could happen .I have moved mom to another facility and found out just how much she was missing.

This place is NOT a place to put your loved one.The residents are NOT treated like they are even people.The staff is lazy and mean.I went to visit my mother, and they do not come in when called.They do not interact with the residents. Their executive director stays hidden in her office everyday. I have since taken my mom out of this place and moved her.
