Placing ones loved one in the complete care of another is a huge decision. Due to the need for a thorough, yet urgent decision, we chose Cuba Manor. From the moment of stepping into the doors, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Their compassionate understanding and expertise in handling a challenging decision was with ease and kindness. Every step of the way was gently guided as we traversed into the unknown. The staff and everyone we met far exceeded our expectations. They educated us with whatever level of detail we needed to make decisions that had seemed insurmountable. They went over and above the job requirements, going out of their way to make sure our needs, as well as the needs of the other residents were met. We literally saw staff running through the halls to respond to calls as quickly as possible. Our loved ones roommate, could not have been any nicer. He kept us updated on the many activities available, watched over our loved one as a Guardian, as well as informing us of anything he thought might be helpful to know. Although it was shorter than anticipated there came a time to make an end of life decision. We were able to move into a single room with ease and speed, respecting both our and the roommates privacy in the midst of these delicate and precious times. The room was comfortable and large, allowing the opportunity to spend the night if we desired. And we did. They brought food and comfort with reassurance each step of the way. Every detail was handled with tremendous, love, care, and great respect. We could not be more grateful to have chosen and entered the doors of Cuba Manor. We wish to thank everyone who touched our lives. Your gracious kindness shall always be remembered.

Love that every person has a responsibility and no one is ever sitting around. They are a little slow to respond to call lights, but it's mostly due to staffing shortages. Overall care has been good, they are responsive to family members and always listen.

Disclosure...I work here. Now for my review....I have worked at Cuba Manor for 10 years now. My mom slipped in to Alzheimers/Dimentia and could no longer be left alone. I work with some of the most caring and loving people. I think overall they do an amazing job with my mom. Some people don't quite understand that everyone doesn't have time to spend one one one with your loved one...but I know they do get individual attention when time allows. I see it and I do it. I take time to speak to the residents or give a hug or a smile. So does everyone else. But they have a job to do. I wouldn't want my mom anywhere else. It looks clean, it smells good, and I must say...(bragging a little) the food is excellent. I sleep good at night knowing my mom is in good hands.
