I've been with Lenoir Woods for six months and I have to say this is where I plan to end my career. As with any healthcare facility you will face ups and downs but, the staff here are strong, caring, and will do what it takes to make sure the residents are well cared for, safe, entertained, and most importantly happy. The atmosphere here is very family oriented. The residents and staff become one big family! I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything! Our residents are definitely living life to the fullest!!! Staff wise: There is always someone willing to help you, there is room to grow, and the management staff actually listens and takes every measure to help solve problems. I would recommend it a million times over for both resident and employee!!#TeamLenoir #LenoirWoods

The REACH rehab of Lenoir Woods changed my family forever. We are now missing my father due to their careless dispensing of medicine. On March 6th 2016 Nurse George and Dr K overdosed my father on percocet. Instead of admitting their mistake and immediately acting responsibly to correct it, they refused to give my father the needed narcan to reverse the effect and wake him up. He was after much delay taken by ambulance to the ER where they administered the narcan for the overdose and immediately came to. However, due to their delay the damage to his lungs was irreversible and he remained on life support for the next 23 days struggling for air. On Easter Sunday, March 29 2016, my father took his last breath. The facility looks nice and the administration are very friendly but I would never leave my loved ones in their care.

Moving to Lenoir Woods was the right decision at the right time for us. We chose Lenoir Woods because of the multiple levels of care (independent living, assisted living, short-term care and rehab, skilled nursing, and a memory wing. However, we found so much more. The leadership and staff are skilled and very caring from the director down to the lowest paid staff. Residents are a big family, enjoying and caring for each other. Don't come here to retire. Come here to live life to the fullest that is possible for you from out-of-town trips or plays or to bingo.

I am happy to share my thoughts on living at Lenoir Woods. I decided 13 years ago when I returned to the Midwest I would live in Columbia and shortly after that I had a tour of this facility with a friend. I decided right then that Lenoir would be my move to full retirement when I felt the time was right. About eight months ago I was called to look at a home in the Village (I had probably seen 12-14 over the years) and said I would know when the right house would come available that met my needs and that I would want to spend time in. That happened last April of 2017. After I got all moved in over that summer I am so happy with my decision. My life is so much easier now. No more 'homeowner issues' after 40+ years. That in itself is fantastic. If I have any problems with the house..........any problems inside or out I just call maintenance and bingo...........there they are prepared for anything. I believe what has been one of the things I love about Lenoir Woods is the friendliness and caring of all the staff..........from telephone conversations with individuals, assistance in the dining room and grill (the personnel remember your name after just a couple of encounters with you,), always making sure you are taken care of immediately if you are not sure of something, etc. etc. etc. I truly feel safe and secure living here knowing if I need assistance it is just a phone call away....just to answer a question or if I would have an emergency. I have also found the Residents living here are all so friendly. The first week I walked my two dogs around the Village so many people waved to me from their porches and/or stopped me by other walkers to who I was and welcomed me to the community. Where I lived for 13 years prior I never had that many people talk to me that entire time. When the first snow/ice came I woke up to a salted driveway and salt on the walk up to my front door. That was really nice and appreciated. It is so nice to go eat at the grill especially and not have to carry a purse to pay for the meal. All in all I just love the decision I made to come here and make life a whole lot easier. There are plenty of activities to attend..i.e. movies, social hour, trips to various places. The list goes on and on. I've always said that Lenoir Woods is the best kept secret here in Missouri. Everyone of my friends that have visited me all say 'I wish there was a Lenoir Woods close to where I live. I do understand why seniors don't want to leave their 'home turf' so to speak but if they would move here they would find immediate friendliness in the residents and staff.
