Had/have family work here, had/have family stay here. There is no better facility in Central MN. They are clean, well ran, caring, and good to thier people.

Visited my loved one here a few times and paid attention to the workers while I was there. I could tell that this is one of those places that have bad employees that scare all of the good ones away. I saw a few aides/nurses make a very nice, sweet aide do all the work for them, when the work they made her do was obviously a two person job, and I saw this every time I visited. I even saw a few aides/nurses being rude and even rough with some of the residents. Even after being informed, the supervisors did absolutely nothing. This place needs a thorough look-over. Oh, and that sweet aide has since left.

My husband was a resident at Good Shepherd for a little more than three years, starting out in their Ace Rehab Unit, then moving to Long Term Care. Good Shepherd immediately felt like 'home' to both my husband and myself. Even our children and grandchildren felt that way as they visited often. Moving to a Long Term Care facility is never anyone's BIG DESIRE in life, but my husband quickly came to realize it was where he needed to be and felt safe and secure at Good Shepherd right away. The nursing staff, rehab staff, food service folks, cleaning folks...all became friends to both my husband and myself. I wheeled him each Sunday to the Chapel for wonderful worship services where we quickly met new 'family' members and grew close to the Good Shepherd Pastor/Chaplain. I have continued to serve Good Shepherd in many ways since my husband's death as a way of 'giving back' to these wonderful care givers and the other dear residents I grew to deeply care about. THANK YOU, Good Shepherd, for the loving care you provide to all your residents at a time they so deeply need it!
