Management/ administration/Nursing is terrible. A lot of lying or excuses are told here by them. Unorganized. Seems a lot of stuff is put off or put on the CNA care givers. Never there during there 8-5 office hours. No communication towards staff or residents. And again just lies. I will say there were maybe 3 HHA/CNA That i came across more then once who were very good and always showed sympathy. Even ran into a care giver from here in public and they were friendly and so talkative with nothing but good things to say. It blows my mind that This management group is still there. Its almost sickening. I feel Sorry for the care givers who stick around but also thank them and i feel for the residents who live there with not many other options. This place should be audited and professionals should talk to both Residents and the CNA/ HHA staff about there thoughts on the management here. Will never go back, or have family here. But i do wish good on the caregivers who gave there all.

My grandmother lived at valley view, i made friendship with some of the pcas who also made me feel so welcomed and comfortable when coming to visit. I dont know the name of the one lady who was a care giver while nana was there but she would come out of the office and be so welcoming and even walked us to nana room. My only complaint would be lack of management or trying to reach higher authority when in need. I felt so bad the few times i myself watched couple of the PCAs be over whelmed. If youre interested with RN or LPN in building during the week or as needed this is not the place for you or family. Aides are awesome: food was good.

I was a staff here, and to be honest its the worst place to work. Why? The manger has no interaction with the clients at all, or would never think of activities for the residents to do. They would always go to her with ideas or even concerns, but she would do nothing. Sad part is when the residents would complain about her. Another sad thing was our activity person (who did activities and fun activities or do one-on-one with residents who left the job) and the manger never filled the spot in, or even took her time to interact with the residents. A kind staff would bring snacks and do movie night because she felt so bad. No assistant living should ever be like this. Im not the only one who feels or thinks this way, behind closed doors every staff in there said the same how she lacks many skills and should not be the manger. During meetings we would always insist for the owner to come in because the environment there is just so horrible. Second, there are some staff who are rude to vulnerable adults, and sound very demanding or even hold off on there cares. They would even talk bad about these individuals. Even the manger one day spoke horrible about a resident, and even stated something horrible, her words were he cant even afford this place, if he wants to leave, he can no one is stopping him. I remember my faced dropped and I looks at her like did she just say that? Beyond that, shes very unprofessional and does not meet the requirements to be in charge of a assistant living. Manger lacks a lot of basic skills and communication skills. Another thing about the manger, if you dont do as she says or let her push you around shell become unprofessional. I remembered I asked for a position that was open, and she stated I dont know, I think Im going to keep that open for on call staff, or Ill have to ask the nurses, or you picked up a position and dropped it two weeks later (yes, I did because my college classes changed). Three, the controlled substances would always be off, and nothing was ever done. Residents wouldnt get there medications and the manger would ever write them up. The facility has a lot of growing to do. Till this day I dont regret voluntarily leaving the job.

Great mission and badly needed services for the vulnerable members of our community. Dedicated staff doing great work! Highly recommend!
