Ackerberg Family Sholom West Campus

The staff working in this Shalom home are absolutely horrible. Asking for help to use the bathroom is like bothering them. All of them have a horrible attitude towards helping with anything. I would not suggest this place to anyone who wants to see their parents live past the two week rehabilitation period.

Every day living here is different for your loved one. You MUST NOT STAY AWAY and think all is okay, only a few angels work and love your parent. The hospice staff is excellent. (Take them home if you can!) The social workers and physical/OT teams are good. The chef makes great soup. The greeters make cookies and comfort you in your way out but then.....Staffing is the worst on weekends. Its rarely disinfected or have weekly housekeeping. Management doesnt effectively manage. Catheter care is worse than skin checks, bathroom schedules dont exist. The food is cold before the feeders are fed. My mom was in her wheelchair over 3 hours the majority of afternoons and evenings before she was put to bed. I know because I saw it. This was the longest 8 months of my life. They take your money and dont invest in the staff. It doesnt matter if you have it or not its 10k a month and SOMEONE pays. I support the right to die movement.
