I've worked at River Grand since its opening in 2007. There are many long term staff as well. That speaks highly that it's not only a great place to work but great relationships form between co-workers, tenants and families. It's really a sense of community here where every one cares about one another. I've even suggested to my own grandparents to move in if the time ever comes they feel need assisted living. I wouldn't want them anywhere else. It's definitely one of the top notch senior housing options in northern Minnesota!

I have worked at River Grand for the last 11 years, and have to say it is the best place to work! The longevity of staff is great and they are like my second family, as is the tenants! Our tenants are our # 1 and we take pride in our-self with the care we give to them! Overall this is a great place to work!

River Grand is not like your average senior living community. Each apartment has a unique layout with all of the north apartment's having a beautiful river view and skycap view of downtown Grand Rapids. There are plenty of lounging areas for tenants to gather and visit that are lovely and comfortable should they feel social! The recreation offered to the tenants are bi-weekly bingo, crafts, walking club of the beautiful River Grand grounds, worship times, singing and entertainment both in house as well as bus rides to various concerts. Also encouraged, are families and friends to meet weekly for catch up with coffee & cookies in the free use of the great room. This room comes equipped with a kitchen, two large tables that over look the river with a large attached back deck to encourage getting out for fresh air and spectacular views. Also, the food at River Grand is top notch. Three home cooked meals are prepared daily where you get to eat them in a nice and light airy dining room looking over the beautiful Mississippi. Lucky are those who work & live in the beautiful River Grand- The tenants are so grateful to live at River Grand while the staff is happy to make them as comfortable as possible.

The rooms are nicely designed. The reception area and social areas look very inviting though the residents don't seem to use them. I think there should be more outside benches and sitting areas for residents who want to take in the sun. I was surprised that I wasn't asked to sign in/out when visiting.

They work with the patients to make it a family atmosphere. Great workers and wonderful activities.
