Birchwood Senior Living is an amazing campus! The care delivered is top notch. I have personally enjoyed working with the team at Birchwood. Both the Health Care Center and the Assisted Living buildings truly feel like home. I would definitely recommend anyone to live here!

If I could give them a big fat 0 I would. They are a slimy, money-loving facility. They should be reported to the BBB for their dishonest billing practices. DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE unless you enjoy getting harrassed over bills which family members and/or POA are not legally required to pay. This is the state of MN where there is no Filial Law Statute. Know your rights before signing anything!

Had to call the Forest Lake Police Department this past Saturday evening 1/28/17.My mom's Oxygen Cord was wrapped 'tightly around sideboard of her bed'. She was receiving no oxygen and her lips were turning purple. I spoke with a RUDE AIDE SHEILA. She didn't seen to think there was a problem. My sister and I had just come back from a movie that evening. We has an earlier incident with the Day Shift RN and Staff that same day.'Kathy the Nurse in Charge' was more interested in filling out her charts before ending her shift. She was inconvenienced having to observe aides transport my mom from wheelchair to bed. She was verbally abusive to my mom and my family there visiting in the afternoon. I asked to speak with Supervisor on call and was told we are not giving you that information. My mom has Chronic Respiratory Failure.
