I would be very wary of placing a loved one in this facility. Over and above the fact that from a dietary perspective their food is dumbed down, and much of it not up to nutritional and clean food standards, the biggest concern here is that they regularly serve the meals outside the food safe temp zone. I worked in this facility until about one year ago. During my attempts to correct this situation from within, I was labeled a trouble maker and a boat-rocker. We were required by law to log the food temperatures before serving. When I would enter the correct but out of safety zone temps of the meals, the response was 'What would the State say if they saw your entries?' I took this as I was supposed to enter fake temperature readings that were within safety temp zones. I was soon terminated for not being a part of this deceit.Before you make assumptions that this is written from the perspective of a disgruntled employee, it should be said that I waited a whole year before writing this review. In truth, being extracted from this institution was one of the best things to happen to me from a career standpoint. I have since been haunted by what is/was happening, and felt I had to speak out for the safety of the residents. To be fair, I am not sure if the same culinary leadership is still in place at this facility. I pray that there is now new leadership in place. If not, I believe that Minnesota State food and facility inspectors should visit this institution outside of their annually scheduled inspections to uncover actual unperformed practices.
