I am excited to welcome Jaycee Soukkala, as our new RN Director to our campus in Cloquet. We have been serving seniors since 2006, and it was build for those who desired a smaller settling than a nursing home for higher care needs such as memory care, Parkinsons, Diabetics, those who need 1-2 people to lift and transfer them, those who need help with bathing, feeding bathroom assistance etc. I too was an aide when I began, and this is why I helped design a smaller setting. While we are not perfect, it is still one of the best options that exists if you have higher care needs. Our staff chart on tablets and their phones and we are continually educating them on professionally greeting everyone and explaining. We have amazing staff and we will only be better with the addition of this fine lady. I have had my own Grandma in Proctor, and relatives in other Diamond Willows and Keystone Bluffs. I, can say, I would honestly love in any of them! Please welcome our new leader!

I worked for this company for approximately 6 months. My experience here was not something to brag about. Upon getting hired I was told that it was a minimal care facility, meaning that the clients were fairly independent like a true assisted living. This was not the case. After many weeks of computer training at the Duluth facility I was put on the floor in cloquet. Thankfully I had 7 years of experience under my belt as I didnt have more than a day of on the floor training, due to short staffing. Come to find out it is a advanced assisted living, clients with constant cares and who are unable to care for themselves at all. The management here was by far the worst I have seen in my years of being a CNA. Lack of communication, unmotivated nursing staff, bullying amongst the management staff members. It is an unhealthy place to work. The direct care staff members held the place together and did the best job they could under the poor direction of nursing staff. Is this someplace I would place a loved one or anyone for care? Most certainly not.

Wonderful staff, beautiful setting and decor. Feels like home. Ive experienced this company as both a family member of a resident, my grandmother, and as an employee. Couldnt be more pleased.
