Scenic Hill Manor

I was so impressed with the home like environment, beautiful rooms, staff, and caring and knowledgeable manager and owner. I even joked that I want to live there when I am at a point in my life to need such care. I would recommend Scenic Hill Manor to anyone in need. Having personal knowledge and a relationship with a resident I know this place is top notch!!!

I started working at Scenic Hill Manor in November of 2017, I started to see a few things going on so I started to document. In December 2017 I came in to my shift 3 to 11 to one lady in the living room in her wheelchair soaked in urine I took her to the bathroom she had on two briefs both were soaked and got her cleaned up. I did not report this to the owner because I figured it was a one-time thing. And accidents happen. January 2nd 2018 I came in at 3 to 11 shift to same lady in the living room in her wheelchair soaked in urine I took her to the bathroom to find she had two briefs on both soaked her pants soaked that was at 4pm. February 15th I worked in the morning shift 7 to 3 and I came in and same lady was soaked in to briefs in bed.April 14th I came into a 3 to 11 shift and two of my residence we're soaked in urine. Same lady as stated above was in her wheelchair her pants were soaked I took her to the bathroom changed her and cleaned her up. Another women who has a catheter was also soaking wet her daughter had came in at 4 was going to get her up from the living room and found that she was soaked. The only way that she would be soaking wet is that it went all the way up her back is if her bag was not emptied and her urine backed up into her bladder. I also have found multiple Med errors, I confronted the morning staff about marking off that they were giving a medication that they did not have.I had finally sent the pictures to my boss and she set up a meeting the next day Sunday April the 15th. She came in and we talked I told her my concerns and I showed her all my pictures. She said she does not believe anyone would not toilet or empty the catheter and kept making excuses and calling my concerns theories and stories . She also said that I was telling the family's to much of what's going on. An that I cared to much. Well April 18th I got a call from Jenny saying she reviewed my concerns an that I had alot of inconsistencies with my 'story's' an that she had to let me go that I was fired. Multiple times my boss has bad mouthed the residents an family's in front of them.I loved this home until I was there long enough to see the things going on an that the owner only in the business for money an not the care an love of her residents I would NEVER put my family in the care of this home! An I will always be more aware of the homes my family members go to!!!
