Grace Haven Assisted Living

My Dad was a resident at Grace Haven for several years, since he and my family needed a place like this we couldn't have been happier with him being there! The staff took great care of him, they truly loved him, the facilities were not only clean but smelled that way. Author Karen Kingsbury calls places like this, Heaven's waiting room, with Grace Haven that is a very fitting description!

My mom was at Grace Haven in 2015 for a respite of approx 30 days. They didn't give her her pills when she was to get them 3 times a day. One of the nite aid knocked my mom down taking her to the bathroom at around 11:00 pm and my mom had hit her head (she was in a blood thinner) and broke her collar bone and first rib and the aid put my mom back to bed with these injures (they had no nurse on staff at nite and no supervisor and the aid called NO one). I called to check on my mom every morning to see how she slept and if she needed anything. My mom then told me what had happened to her the nite before and wanted to know when i coming to get her. I immediately called the Grace Haven office. I was told they hadn't called an ambulance, they were waiting for their supervisor to come in and tell them what to do. I told them to call an ambulance and I'd be right there When my mom finally got to the ER, one of the nurses and paramedics said they called Grace Haven death haven, because when they saw people from Grace Haven they were already in very poor condition. Our moms health went down hill after this and passed away in 2016. My family regrets ever taking our mom to Grace Haven.

I am an employee and I have to say the atmosphere is wonderful. It is great to have such caring staff but mostly amazing residents that make the job worth going to each day!

Beautiful community with loving staff and residents! Management was completely understanding when I chose to stay home with my newborn after leave rather than returning to work. They proved that they care about us as individuals rather than just employees. As we all know, quality staff begins with quality leaders. They and their staff hold a special place in their hearts for each resident, from personal experience. Your loved ones are in good hands at Grace Haven!
