My mother in law has been at Arbor Woods for three months and it is a joke. She has had her dentures taken, hearing aids lost by staff, and we have been told in no uncertain terms its not their problem. When we discussed filing a police report, the director laughed at the notion of a civil suit and said, go ahead. You wont winWe have confirmed with the licensing and regulatory affairs they have had 5 complaints filed against them in the last four days. We confirmed with staff members seven residents left in the last three days and more are leaving. Weve given notice and are removing her from there.Last weekend a staff member was drunk on the job and walked off. They do not have a doctor on staff and only have medical personnel on call. The barely trained staff are allowed to distribute medications, and on any occasion one worker is responsible for 14-17 residents. We have reports of residents call lights being ignored and regularly are not assisted, left soiled in urine al night and staff members being aggressive with residents.We have filed complaints with the Long Term Care Licensing Bureau, Ombudsmen and with LARA. We have had wonderful experience with Brooklyn Living Center over the past three or four years while our loved one has been there. The manager there is wonderful and we have always felt that her and her staff have always went over and above to make sure that everyone is loved and cared for!! Another one of their buildings, Arbor Manor, has also provided exceptional care for our loved one. Keep up the good work GRC! You have our support and many others in the communities!!!

Staff is very kind and caring. The new administrator and his team are fabulous.

Would just like to say how disheartening it was to hear from my loved one just how rude the General Manager Amy is. Somehow this women has managed to be downright mean to the sweet people living there. Hopefully itll catch up to her. Everyone please check every last detail of the place youre taking the people you care of the most. Always watch how sweet people seem, its normlly fake. Folks beware of Brooklyn Living Center.
