My grandmother has been at the Rose for almost two years. She was extremely reluctant to go at first as she felt like she was giving up her independence (she lived alone in a condo). It only took about two months after moving in to the independent living before we could see she was coming around to it. Now, she absolutely loves it. Independent living gives her the option to either stay in her apartment and do her own thing, or get out and participate in the many activities they have. The Rose takes her to all doctors appointments, they have shuttles to and from grocery stores. The only compliant she ever has is a dislike in most movies they show in their little theater (they really should improve the selections). Other than that our family has had little to no issues with them and the staff is always friendly to me when I walk in for my visits. It's always well kept and every resident I run into seems very content.

I did not want to leave the one star, as Rose does not warrant any stars, but I would not have been able to leave this post unless I did.Rose Senior Living in Novi is absolutely terrible for a loved one in assisted living with any kind of memory issues. There is no training, the staff does not know how to deal with someone in dementia (who may not need memory care but needs memory assistance). Our family was extremely disappointed with the poor management, lack of processes and follow-up and being charged repeatedly for services we did not receive, such as escorting, laundry, and shower assistance. Rose has actually been in violation of state regulations for assisted living facilities, but they truly don't care. The method of operation there is to provide the minimum they can get away with that improves their bottom line. Cold food is frequently served to the residents, which is inexcusable. There are no activities or entertainment for the assisted living community, and the staff at Rose has a number of excuses for not doing this, but bottom line, they don't care.It is quite clear that Rose does not want to have any memory impaired people move into their assisted living. Do not believe anything the sales people tell you. Please do not make the mistake we did in moving our father to Rose. We did move him to a what seems to be a much better facility that is more in-tune with, and welcome, memory impaired seniors and so far, are genuinely caring.

My mother Kathy moved in during the summer of 2018. Here is what she has to say about Rose Senior Living. 'I love living here and I feel very safe. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. I enjoy the dining room and the view outside on my balcony is splendid. The bus service is very convenient for shopping and going to church.' It has been a terrific experience from day one.
