Grand Vista Assisted Living

I've worked for this company for awhile. First off they ask their employees to say nice things and give 5 stars, like Sarah Clark. Kim Farris never had her mother there she passed away years ago. Erica and Dustin act like they care but they only care about the money. I've reported abuse to Erica and nothing was ever done. Instead, when the state of Michigan wanted Farris fired for taking an inappropriate video of a resident and posting it, Dustin paid them a heafty fine to keep her. Recently a resident passed away there who did not need to be there but in a nursing home for her dementia, they kept her drugged up and tied to a wheelchair. Yet none of this great staff reported that abuse. When the bosses are on vacation we are told not to contact them, instead they leave an employee in charge whose been there for about 5yrs (Sarah) they even let her conduct interviews. They've fired great workers because they don't get along with Kim or she spreads lies about them and they don't do any fact finding. They have a real hard time keeping good employees. Their Marshall buildings are about the same as well. The residents hate the lunches and dinners because everything comes out of a box or something frozen, including the soup. The only thing that is homemade is the breakfast. They also pay certain people under the table to work there who are not employed by them. There is nothing really assisted living about these places, instead they take anyone and everyone to fill the beds, because it's all about the money. The harder the care the more they make.

The owner of Grand Vista is always accessible even on weekends and holidays. he does not hesitate to give out his private number. He cares about the residents. Staff is very helpful and kind. Breakfast is made to order, which residents love and food is wonderful. Activities are enjoyed by all residents. Great place for your loved one.

Wonderful place for family to live. Management is respectful and attentive to what everyone's needs are. Food is presentable and tasty. Staff are great and kind to residents. All and all great company!

I have worked at Grand Vista in Coldwater as the Activity Director for just about five years. We may be a twenty room facility, but the best part is the residents all consider themselves family. I see alot of love for one another and that warms my heart.
