My father spent his final months at Wicomico Nursing Home, in the care of Coastal Hospice. Aside from being an older facility, I felt he received very compassionate care. He was placed in a private room at my request and most of his requests were honored as well, whether it be placing a birdfeeder in the window, or turning his bed so he could see a tree. Staff were very kind.

I was admitted to Wicomico Nursing home on January 1st, 2019 for rehab as it was not safe for me to be home. Initially, I thought 'what kind of rehab will I get in a nursing home?' As it turned out, the rehab was the best.In fact, every aspect of the care I received was excellent. I think Wicomico Nursing Home should add 'and rehabilitation' to their name as it is much more than what you might think.Kudos to every department of Wicomico Nursing Home and thank you for all you did to help me improve so I could be safe in my own home.There has been several news items regarding the possible closing of this facility. The county should do all it can to keep this remarkable facility. It would be a terrible loss.
