Very unprofessional hostile work environment.I was employed there for about seven weeks, it sadden me to say I never experience such a disaster before in my life. I would not recommend anyone to work here or bring their loves one here. Nevertheless I never went through orientation not even a virtual one, also just received my work badge about a week ago was entering and exiting the building with someone else's badge which is a huge (SECURITY BREACH) . Over half of the administration are reckless, rude, also very unprofessional does not honor the hand book. Not to mention everyone is a (BOSS) who only sees the worst in their employees , what i mean by that is its too much nitpicking and not enough recognition . Everyday its something new that you have to adjust to suddenly (NO MEMOS TO WARN YOU)!!! Be aware of the cliques cause they are out to get you.Also you have no corporate offices to address your concerns too. The executive director and the director of housekeeping previous work at Sunrise assisting living together and transition to kensington together so watch out for those two. That's who I had my issues with with the unprofessionalism its sad . Lunch is supposed to be provided as stated in the handbook at 11:00 or 11:30 a.m. i'm unsure, but it's one of those times on a first come first serve basis it's never a fresh lunch it leftovers that you literally have to beg for keep in mind you can't leave the facility for lunch that is automatically deducted from your paycheck each day for 30.mins. so you are working seven and a half hours noted that wasn't mention in the interview. Be cautions of the rodent(rats/mice) infestation in WOODLANDS on the first floor by the kitchen near the dining area.I also observed and WITNESS some of the caregivers are neglecting the residents that are hollering repeatedly for HELP I myself personally press the pendant for them also made them aware of it to press it I would wait in the area on purpose to see if any one response guess what NO RESPONSE on numerous occasions.Last but least the favoritism, the mother of the Executive Director lives on the property as well but what really grinds my gears was during the pandemic I notice that she was the ONLY one in memory care that was able to walk up and down the hall freely without getting escorted back to her room because of doctors orders I guess cause thats what was told to the other resident that they had to stay inside. Overall it was a hideous work place in my opinion but everything I wrote was FACTS so chose wisely where you decide to WORK or TRUST with your love one.

My mother has lived at KP for several years. She and our other family members have unlimited high regard for this outstanding organization. The staff demonstrate boundless care and well planned services tailored to the needs and preferences of residents and family members. The buildings and grounds are lovely and well cared for in every respect. This is a six star residence with seven star staff. KP is the heart of compassion, respect and hospitality. I am familiar with a number of DMV area senior residences and feel that KP is the standard by which others can be measured.

After our loved one has been at Kensington Park for a year, we can truly say what a wonderful place it is. From our very first visit, KP staff went out of their way to make us feel that it is a place of community and care for each resident. The food is excellent. There are so many activities and opportunities; every person can find things to enjoy. However to us, the most important thing is the loving and kind care each of the KP staff has demonstrated. Everyone has been friendly and caring. After a short hospital stay, she couldnt wait to get back to her new home. We feel certain she is being well cared for, with the dignity, love and respect every elderly person deserves. Family of Resident

Kensington Park has cared for both parents (one in assisted living and one in memory care) since 2014. I am very pleased with the personalized care both of my parents receive and recommend Kensington to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and vibrant environment for a loved one.

The staff at Kensington Park have created a caring, welcoming community for my mother. She has been there for two years and calls it 'my millionaire's setup.' The nursing care, the therapy, the activities, the facilities and the food are all exceptional. I and the rest of my family recommend it very highly.
