Lorien Bel Air

This place is a nightmare. They put my father in diapers because no one wanted to take the time to walk him to the bathroom. They continued to keep giving him pain meds, when there was no pain and we told them to stop. They wanted to keep him sleeping so once again they didnt have to take out time to care for him. I walked in at 10:40 am and he was still in the dirty clothes from the day before. His bed was soaked with urine, due to a diaper in the wrong size. The staff never came in to take of his bedding or him. I had to clean my father and change all the bedding. The staff couldn't determine if any one had cleaned him up that morning. I had pressed the nurse call button, 1.5 hours later, still no one ever answered the call. They would drop off his meals and not check to see if he could reach the table to get it. The food leaves alot to be desired! The care is poor, poor, poor. Do not bring your elderly here. I'm getting my father out as soon as it is daylight.

Physical therapy, wonderful! Staff except for a few not helpful & nasty. I was there & left for ER due to pain that wasn't being taking care in the facility. Now they won't help set up home care. I wish I had listen to my doctor who told me not to do rehab!! A few at Lorien tried to accommodate me but it's hard as I have such a complex health situation going on. I should have left yesterday after evaluation by Ali & Matthew felt I would be alright on my own. God forbid they have to do more than necessary to get you home care!! Nurse wise they are medically understaffed, its truly sad. I would never want to have to place a family member here. Except for the few who were helpful, the rest of you need to go back to nursing school.
