Whatever you can imagine as the perfect care facility for your loved one, The Annapolitan is better. The staffing level is more than adequate for the population, but the very best thing is that the staff is competent, caring, and very accommodating (robots need not apply). The Annapolitan is extremely well-managed under the guidance of the Director, Jim Thompson, who is incredibly accessible. We have had Dad there for two years, and visit twice a week, so we have a long-term and comprehensive understanding of the pulse of the community. The residents are very happy. We just had our disabled daughter there for a week of respite care; we've never seen her happier and well-adjusted during her stay. We have placed her in three other care facilities over the past few years and were constantly dealing with care (or lack thereof) issues; this time, not a worry at all. She left The Annapolitan with better mobility and upbeat attitude than when she went in. This place is amazing hands-down! I hope my family puts me here when my time comes.

Overall about average. Some very caring staff and one or two bad apples. The turnover in cooking staff has resulted in some poor meals but most of the time food is pretty good.

Words cannot express my appreciation for Annapolitan Assisted Living during my dad's stay of almost 2 years. The staff is top notch as is the management. It is true what the reviews are saying. Annapolitan AL is a great place, good food, fun parties, outings and more. My dad was so very happy there. Also, we as a family were happy that he had a safe and loving environment that included us any time day or night. I was very concerned when he had to be moved to the memory care unit. I quickly learned that the advice I was given (that it was time) was spot on. Although he was not in memory care for very long due to a lung illness and a stroke he received excellent care from the staff. They worked tirelessly to make him comfortable and I will be forever grateful. Part of the sadness of losing my dad is that I will miss seeing on a regular basis all of the folks that helped our family to make his last years great years. Don't overlook this place in your search for excellent care and an extended group of family and friends!

This place has been a great, for me and my mom. She has been there for 8 years now, and loved it from the beginning. The staff are friendly and patient with her. There are regular outings and in-facility parties for family to attend, with live entertainment. Lots of activities and group interaction, if that is what she is in the mood for. The option to use the on-site doctors, in addition to the full time nursing staff, makes my life so much easier, as workday doctors appointments can be challenging. Having her in a place she enjoys, and that takes such great care of her has made our relationship more about each other than the logistic of daily living. Thanks to all the folks at the Annapolitan!!

Respite Care for My Dad: This place is awesome! Everyone is really kind and helpful. My dad was skeptical at first but found the place to be really nice. It is spotlessly clean with none of the smells you find at other places. Jim worked with me to get him registered and all the required paperwork prior to him checking in. I love this place and will keep them in mind for upcoming respite care needs and any long term care needs that may arise! What a hidden gem! Oh, and the pictures you see are true to date - none of the styling that other places have and when you arrive it looks totally dated and dirty and old!
