In 2006, our Father, had a lot of medical issues. In Nov, after back surgery, he became a paraplegic; requiring very special care. From July until Jan 2007, he went through 6/7 different facilities. In Dec 2006, God lead us to the SW LA Veterans home. From Feb. 2007 to Dec. 2018, for almost 12 years, Dad lived at the SW LA Veterans Home, in Jennings, LA. Considering his 'Captain of the Ship - My way or the Highway' personality, we consider it a miracle that he became very happy living in his new 'home away from home!!' Based on our Father's care in all the other previous facilities, 'hands down' the SW LA Veterans Home is an outstanding facility that Families can trust!! Every member of the VA Home's staff provided our father excellent care, they loved him; ensuring he lived a happy long life. Our Family can never thank the VA home and all of volunteers for the care and love they gave our Father over the years.

My Beta group went there, and we played Bingo with them. Afterwards, we shared our experiences and views on our military. The people there are the sweetest things. Especially when we went outside in the garden area to eat lunch.
