My father was a lifelong resident of Jamboree and was declining from congestive heart disease. He was transferred to GS nursing home to regain strength in his legs. His health declined due to his depression and not being able to go outside. His meals were often cold and at least once when I was there-his meal was forgotten. My overall concern was the Daily lack of communication and social support for my father. He was severely depressed and very little effort was made to motivate him. My father loved animals and I ask repeatedly for a therapy animal to visit. I feel none of the staff was invested in helping my father adjust to this major change.
