My Grandma currently resides in the long-term care side of Kenwood, and my family has been severely disappointed. My grandma has dementia and limiting disability, and her quality of life is not the best, but despite this she deserves more. My mother is her POA, and she can't even tell me the names of the Administration or DON. She has told me that the Social Worker does not return phone calls, and does not take responsibility when my mom has voiced some concerns about my Grandma's care.I have worked as a charge nurse and CNA for Good Samaritan Soceity, and as a hospice RN - and I can tell you without a doubt, there are better facilities with standards being met. If Kenwood view is the best facility Salina has to offer then the whole town needs a 'wake up call.'Also, the positive reviews from former or current employees are not fooling anyone.I can't speak to the outcomes of the rehab facility. So good on them if they are making strides getting rehab patients back on their feet. Just know if I had the money my Grandma would live anywhere but here.

We came for a surprise visit on our family member & were a little disappointed in his condition. From not having his teeth put in during dinner time to dried food & skin flakes on his face & clothes, he seemed a little set aside. There were a few staff that really went out of their way during our visit to help him with his soda & other requests that we really appreciated. Overall it was a nice visit w/ our family member & nice to see a few staff that really seemed to care about the folks residing there.

I was here from Oklahoma visiting a family member. The nursing staff and all the workers were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Ive never been in a nursing home that didnt smell but this place was super clean and didnt have that nursing home smell! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone considering it

I had the best experience visiting a friend while she stayed at Kenwood View following her surgery. I wasnt sure where to go when I first got there and a lovely, young lady name Dolcey helped me out. She very kindly walked me to my friends room rather than telling and pointing where it was. The facility looked so nice and clean and didnt have the typical antiseptic smell most hospitals do. My friend commented how well she was being treated and cared for during her stay. She said the nurses and techs were all very helpful and came right when she called. She even said she enjoyed the food, which is unheard of at most places. While taking a walk around to help my friend get her exercise, we came across a wonderful nurse named Tandi. My friends face lit up when she saw her and Tandi came right up and hugged us both. She was so kind to stop and see how we both were doing and kept encouraging my friend to keep striving to get better. She took the time to answer my questions regarding my friends care and how we could keep her progressing in a safe manner. I will admit, I will ask to be sent here if I ever need a place to be sent for rehab. Keep up the good work Kenwood View!

My mother was there for skilled nursing services and was unsure of what was happening from day to day. There is a serious lack of communication among the staff as well as a lack of understanding of policy. They were slow to implement a therapy program. The place in my opinion should be investigated for state standards and qualifications.
