Glen Oaks Alzheimers and Specialty Care Facility is a clean place.

My mother recently passed away at this place after being there a couple years. Many problems. Total turnover in staffing many, many times. In the past year, her teeth were in horrible shape because they would not brush them; many infections caused by allowing her to sit in her feces and urine for hours at a time without changing; missing clothing and personal items; the staff would ram her wheel chair into personal items and break them, but then not tell us; she had an auto recliner/lift chair that they would extend/open up and ram it through the wall to the point where there was a large hole in the wall; etc., etc. It wasn't until family asked them to fix this that anything was done.The most unacceptable action was the lack of communication at the end. She was unresponsive for basically two days until we went for our regular visit (through the window, due to COVID) and discovered she was unresponsive. She then passed this past Monday at 1:40 pm but they couldn't bother calling us until about 3:15 pm. The hospice staff and other staff let us know the timing! Unacceptable. I (son) have left two messages over the past week for their administrator. She has NOT responded and I doubt she will without legal action. She is a very rude and uncaring individual. It's unreal. Their own staff complain about management. Stay away!!!!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is not the place that you would want to care for your family member. Staff and management turnover is high, while the overall quality of services is low.

My father is a resident. The Cnas are great. But hearing how management talks to employees is just not okay. It only makes me wonder how they would our families.

This is the WORST place to be employed at. I could only imagine how the residents feel. The management sucks! If it wasnt for US C.N.As this place would be shut down. All administration is worried about is GOSSIP! The Director of Nursing dont even know ANY of the residents names. Gayle and Deb are a disgrace to this company. I wish people really knew how twisted they were.
