Do NOT let any of your loved ones reside in this dangerous facility. My young friend nearly died there a few months ago. He was scratched by a fellow resident for which the staff did NOT maintain proper hygiene. This cause an infection in my friend's hand. Within a week he was rushed to UIHC where he nearly died after his arm exploded. His infection escalated because the poor diet at Center Village caused him to develop SEVERE Type 2 Diabetes. His entire arm had to be skin-grafted. He was put into a comatose state in order to heal. A male staff member at this facility provided marijuana to residents. Many other violations of Iowa's Residential Care Facility codes were broken. My friend's counselor destroyed medical documentation during her last day of employment. My friend still praises me for getting him out of there. BEWARE!!!
