I have wanted to write a review since mom moved here 2 years ago. I never expected staff to be so responsive to every concern and question I had about her adjustment to this sea change in her life. She loves it here, the staff, her friends, the food and the many activities that keep her busy and happy. Thank you Tanner, Annie, Matt and the kind kitchen and housekeeping staff for going above and beyond. Mom and I lucked out to find Brown Deer, her home now in every way.

Brown Deer Place offers the best in facility, staff, activities, amenities & food! That is our experience after 2 years living here!The key criteria in your decision are people & size( feels like family... not a 'cold over-sized institution').BDP is the best choice for both! Wonderful place to live with caring professional staff & fun/active residents that 'make your day'. The best choice for senior living in the Iowa City area. Stands out among many choices.

Brown Deer Place was an excellent choice for my father. Anne took the time to show us around and answer in depth questions. The entire staff went above and beyond with ever request I had. If there was something I needed, they found a way to make it work. Very friendly and catering environment. They made caring for my father a better experience by always jumping in to help, as if they were family.
