My mother was in this nursing home for 7 years, the staff before the new ownership was much better than the current staff and be sure to take all of your loved ones valuables because if you don't they will disappear, They took possession of my mother's wedding rings and put them in a safe but they were not safe, we couldn't even bury her with her rings because they were never found.

I had surgery on my foot and decided to go to Golden Living for rehab. I loved it there! The staff was so friendly. Everyday I walked in the therapy room I was greeted with smiles and laughter.

My mom was in this facility for almost 3 years and she was treated great. We never had to worry about her getting hurt by one of the staff or by another resident's. When we visited her the doctor's and nurses were always extremely friendly and if we had any questions or concerns they were right there to help us. The facility was always very clean and working. All the employees from the front of the building to the back where my mom was were always extremely friendly. We had my mom in another facility here in town before we brought her here and I am so glad we did transfer her. The other facility is a joke when it comes to taking care of the residents.

My cousin is here. I hadn't seen her in almost a year since she went in and she appears to be worse than we've ever seen her. Her legs are so swollen they are seeping through the bandages. She has a severe speech impediment, but is competent. Various attempts at contacting nursing home administration at my cousin's request have gone unanswered. Phone calls go unanswered and, after leaving numerous messages, calls unreturned. We wanted to know what we could do to help, but I now believe neither the nursing home administrator nor the director of nursing have any interest in quality resident care. The only interest they have is in taking what little money we send her for birthdays and Christmases into their own coffers without actually using the money to her advantage or advising us on what we can actually do FOR her.I believe that to be both cruel and unconscionable.
