Brookdale has been a great place for my mother-in-law. The rooms are updated and well kept. The staff is very helpful and friendly. When we have had questions or needs they have been very responsive.

Do not, DO NOT send your loved one here. Besides not respecting my mother and complaining about her when she could barely talk or do anything, they cheated us left and write changing the billing AFTER we'd already paid, charging us for leaving things that were not ours in the room when Mother passed away. My sister talked all the way up to the very top and they would not budge. When they said they would 'take something off the bill', they then rewrote that months bill so it still added up to the same amount. One holiday weekend my mother's toilet was stopped up and gross and they were taking her to use it!! They said it couldn't be fixed because of the holiday so that would be 2-3 more days. Obviously they don't want to call outside their employees even when such a necessary thing needs to be done. The nurse told me my mother was manipulative!! She barely talked. I walked in the door and someone told me right away my mother wasn't copperative?? The food was disgusting and my mother barely ate. Don't put your loved ones here!

What a great place to call home! Everyone is always willing to go above and beyond for the residents! I would recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for senior living.

I wouldnt let this place keep my cat when I went on a weekend trip, let alone a loved one. Much better places in Bloomington for your loved ones.. just do the research. They cant krep residents or staff. Id give them 0 stars if I could. They dont care about the residents, they care about money and beds being full.
