My husband stayed at this facility for over 6 weeks after suffering a stroke, during which time I was not allowed inside to visit because of Covid 19. The only form of communication was by phone/outside through window. While he felt the staff was very nice, they could not seem to leave his phone where he could reach it. This required calling back to ask the switchboard to have someone go move the phone. If I was transferred to the nurses' station to ask them myself (if they answered), I again had to call back to ring the room, as the staff does not seem to know how to transfer calls. On numerous occasions, the call was either the wrong room, or the phone was not working, as I could see my husband picking up the phone when I motioned to him to do so, but it was still ringing on my end. Not only was the phone out of reach, but so was his tissue box, and the paper with my phone number on it, so he could not call me when he wanted. He fell at least 3 times, but I was called only once when he was actually hurt. Probably the most gross thing was serving his meals with the urinal on the same bedside table. Worst of all, was that prior to coming home, there was blood in his urine, and nothing was done about it, which necessitated a trip to the ER the next day. SOMEONE should have noticed and reported this condition. He also came home with what resembles 'cradle cap.' Several phone calls were not returned. Complaints were generally ignored. While I had always thought this was a great place, I no longer believe that.

My aunt stayed here on and off over the past few years. Had some issues with staff being rude and too rough with her. Take your loved one somewhere else!

My grandma was here for under 24 hours after being released from memorial after having her hip replacement surgery. The first morning there she fell out of her wheelchair and we were notified. I arrived there to find her completely out of it, incoherent and slurring but they said shes responsible for herself. She didnt even know where she was so clearly not reasonable. It turns out they didnt give her any insulin and she is a type 1 diabetic. I insisted that we call 911 and she was sent to the ER. The doctors said this was completely avoidable. Do not send your family here if they need any assistance.
