Upper management hasn't got a clue as to what some department heads are doing and prefer the 'stick your head in the mud' routine, rather than deal with it. Hope the residents are not the ones left suffering in the end, when it is all done.

EXTREMELY SAD AND DISAPPOINTED!!! I was so relieved the day I moved my father into Heartis. I was at ease knowing he was going to be watched, fed and taken care of. The place is so nice, he actually thought I put him in an all-inclusive hotel. 10 months later, I could not be more disturbed, disappointed and angry. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance at least 5 times during his stay, each time NOT until he was to a point where he could barely breathe or walk, even though they went to his room 4 times a day to give him meds and they noticed that he wasnt coming down for meals, they did not react until the situation was dire and he had to go to the hospital. Once, I even called them and asked that they watch him carefully because he had texted me that he didnt feel well. One week later, after hearing nothing, I was called and told he needed to go to the hospital and he ended up in ICU for a week. They consistently told me that he was drinking alcohol excessively thus causing him to have the health issues. I have since found out they lied about that and the truth is they just werent paying close enough attention. They ended up kicking him out based on the lie that he was an excessive drinker. No one ever calls you back, the communication is terrible and the turnover is ridiculous. He is now in a better place and his health has improved tremendously and the facility has no complaints. And hasnt had a drink in over a month but is perfectly fine, hmmm, doesnt add up does it?Moral of the story is this place does not want you there if you are too much trouble. Dont learn the hard way!**UPDATE**1 year later & my father is doing great at Riverview. Not 1 single person still works at Heartis that did 1 year or even 6 months ago. Hmmm, wonder why.

I recently visited this community and the residents all were very happy and the new Executive Director is very good!

I agree with Tonya Senti, don't want you there if you are too much trouble and they do not call you back. The food is terrible, they give the cleaning person 20 minutes to clean the apartments, so apartments aren't getting clean like they should be. Laundry is a joke, my dad gets clothes back that aren't his and he has lost some of his clothes because he doesn't get them back. Seriously thinking of moving him.
