So-so. The administration keeps upgrading the place physically - but it's not necessarily in the best interests of the residents. Costs go up - and really, are heavier, fancier chairs in the dining room better for seniors? Wouldn't it be better to put money into programming for the senior? Also Radford Green has some problems - the care there is not so hot. Really things could be better.

Having been a resident for over ten years, I am pleased to recommend Sedgebrook. The culture is very supportive as are the employees, most of whom are long term. We especially are fortunate to have two excellent full time physicians with a caring staff who capably and kindly care for us a we age in this outstanding continuing care facility.No matter what our needs, every effort is mad to meet them with a smile and true concern. We are made to feel this is our home and they want want us to be happy and content. Allowing us to have our pets is another supportive factor. When problems arise, as they naturally do, every endeavor is made to address them by the administrative staff who welcome our input. The resident's privacy and dignity always is protected and respected. Sedgebrook is a fine option for individuals looking for a care free life.

Why did I choose to move to Sedgebrook after the loss of my husband even though we had put money down on a different senior residence? There are several reasons: staff and residents were exceptionally friendly and helpful; most apartment room sizes were ample; two physicians were available in the health office on all weekdays and by phone on weekends for emergencies; and a wide variety of activities and support were available. Not only did I find those factors to be true when I moved in, but as a bonus I found the meal choices and quality to be very good. After two years as a resident, I am comfortable and happy with my decision and look forward to the future here. Nothing is perfect, but Sedgebrook is coming close.
