Almost a half a million dollars over the course of my grandparents living here. The staff and administration are god awful, every holiday here has been hit or miss.. either we are able to reserve time and set aside space for my (rather large) immediate family, or we are shut out and end up having to spend it away from our grandparents. Unfortunately and both fortunately, my grandparents were removed from this facility recently due to a medical issue (prior to covid and unrelated to covid). Had to fight the entire time until today , day of public post to be able to actually pick up their belongings... my grandparents spent months away from their possessions to just have their possessions haphazardly thrown into boxes.. multiple belongings damaged. If they treat you like this on the way out imagine how they're treating your family behind closed doors... very worrisome..Edit as of owner review 7/10My grandfather died july 7th without having his possessions. Regardless of COVID protocols their items should have been handled with care. You need to understand that when a location has your families possessions it isn't always the best route to jump to immediately filing a claim also given the circumstances. My family can say that it's all fine and dandy but in MY OPINION which is why this review is MY VIEW: you threw their possessions in a box and called it a day. My family gave up being frustrated because of my grandfather's passing. Take this as an opportunity for the future instead of insisting all is well. Thank you for your time reviewing this. But honestly, someone's property should not have stayed at your location for the better half of a year. Especially memory care patients who rely on their normal routine and things that make them comfortable

We checked out many places for my Mom, and Cedar Lake stood out from all the rest. Mom moved in last month and she loves living there. The staff are all very nice people and genuinely seem to care about my mom. She now has people to help her with anything that she needs, and she still has all her own furniture in her own apartment. Our family is glad to have found a great place for her.

This is the most beautiful place Ive seen by far, as I tour places for my Father. The entire experience was wonderful! Shirley is a beautiful, caring, all around wonderful person!! My tour with her was so nice, and comforting... She really made me feel so much better, and calmed my nerves so much. Id refer this beautiful home, to anyone without thinking twice!! If youre having a hard time finding a wonderful place for your loved one... go see Shirley!!! You wont be disappointed!!

My Mom is 94 and has been recently diagnosed with Dementia. She can still function well, but needs alot of Cueing. We chose Cedar Lake because of the Residence Club program that seems to be a combination of Assisted Living and Memory Care. Mom moved in 2 weeks ago and has adjusted very well. The Staff is exceptional. Each and everyone we have met that works there, is well trained and very Caring. They have a wonderful daily program of activities to keep Mom active and socializing. The facilities are immaculate and the food is quite good. There were no surprises as everything was clearly explained in advance. So far, I do not think that Mom could be in a better Place, and that is very comforting to me.
