Deer Path of Huntley

I frequent this place a lot and the orderlies and CNAs are all rude but majority of the bad ones are all the 20 somethings who work here. They dismiss the residents as if theyre nuisances, roll their eyes, and act like theyd rather be anywhere else. The residents here NEED constant support and should be able to TRUST the people charged with their wellbeing. No shocker that all these 5 star reviews are from employees. You people are disgusting slobs.

Deer path of Huntley is a beautiful facility. They have wonderful food and activities galore and their staff is amazingly negligent at best. The nursing staff and cnas viewed my father as a nuisance because he wasnt a social butterfly who was fun to take care of. He needed more care than they were willing to provide and were happy see him leave. I made attempts to come up with a care plan, and to have open conversations about what he needs and what I can do to make his stay there a success. I gave the nurses my number and they never cared to call and couldn't be bothered to talk to me in person. Every time I walk in their cnas are sitting chatting amongst themselves by the foyer instead of doing their jobs or interacting with their patients. The only person in the entire facility that went above and beyond the call of duty is Ken the matinence man. If we needed help with anything he was always there to help, even when we didnt ask him he would seek us out to ask if there was something he could help us with. While the Cnas and nurses seemed to try and avoid us at all costs. Ken is the heart and soul of a facility that would otherwise be the perfect place to send your beloved family members to be ignored to death.

It is a very lovely place.I would still love to become a resident there.
