I would not recommend this company. That exact situation above with the 94 year old lady happened with me and my friends. When asked to be removed from her they cut your hours. Then when I stopped picking up hours the husband called and asked me what was the problem. I explain he gave me more hours. In between this time my aunts help started to decline so weekend started to become family time since I worked various hours Monday through Friday. One weekend I picked up a shift for them and I asked (which you can ask an employer to do because Im not on call) only to contact me Monday through Friday normal business hours in a group texts. Here the copy and paste of the conversation since I cant upload a screenshot. Theres three people in this text Albia, and the Owners wife and myself.Myself:When discussing or wanting me to confirm a schedule please contact me during normal business hours Monday -Friday. Please and Thank you Owners Wife: Yeah I know. She's history. Don't respond to her at all. Myself: So when my last day Owners wife: She should have confirmed. I don't think she's interested in more shiftsOwners wife: Sorry for confusion! This response was intended to address no call no show. Mind yall I was at a clients house I picked up Saturday from 3-12 pm. I cant think of jesses wifes name but when she realized she wasnt directly texting Albia that was her response. This was in July So again I continue working part time its September My aunts on hospice at this point now I inform them of this. Every other week I have to take off for my aunt. My aunt was on life support for a week. I asked for just That day off . As I planned the funeral arrangements Im still working. So with the 94 lady I asked not to have her anymore it was way too much now any other client Ive had Ive never been demanded to come in and sign a release saying I dont want this client anymore. I had to be at my other client on top of grieving. So I go in in my jeans and a t shirt. I let them know my uniform was in the car they demanded I put in on NOW. I refused Im an adult and I know what I need to do how I get this uniform on is none of your concern. And if you feel as tho I wasnt going to put it on come do a house visit Im 30 you or no one else shall talk down to me. Now as this is going on I was already annoyed because in the health field Im there with other peoples families everyday some Ive been with throughout there transition no one in this office has sense to say let take her off the schedule for.a couple of days to allow her to be with her family. NOOO AS I SAT IN THIS OFFICE ALBIA STILL WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT MEDT WEEKS SCHEDULE AND IF I WAS CONFIRMING ID BE THERE. I QUIT RIGHT THEN THERES NO WAY YOURE ASKING ME THIS AND I JUST TOOK MY AUNT OFF LIFE SUPPORT YESTERDAY. I called for a print out of my check stub they said they threw them out. The irs says you as an employer keep check stub for four years. NOT THROW THEM OUT WITHIN UNDER A YEAR. I would not recommend them several people told them they wanted to be released from clients they cut their hours also

I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY! IM A CNA AND I WAS EMPLOYED THERE, I WAS SENT TO WORK WITH A CLIENT WHO WAS 94! I WAS THROWN IN WITHOUT ANY DISCUSSION OF THE PERSONS NEEDS, I WAS TOLD I WOULD GET $13 AND UP PER HOUR DEPENDING ON THE CLIENT! I WENT TO THE CLIENTS HOUSE WHERE I HAD TO STAY IN THE BACK ROOM WIHW HER THE WHOLE 8 HOURS, THE SOFAS REEKED OF URINE AND IF I HAD TO USE THE BATHROOM I HAD TO USE HERS . VERY UNSANITARY!!! THEN I GET SICK AND MAKE MY DR APPOINTMENT AND THEY FORCED ME TO GO TO THEIR DR, SO I GO PICK UP NY CHECK AND THEY ONLY PAID ME $11 THE HOUR WHICH WAS NOT THE AGREEMENT, AND TOOK $50 FROM MY CHECK TO PAY FOR THEIR DR AND IT WASNT DISCUSSED WITH ME. WHEN I CALLED TO ASK THEM WHY, ALBA ONE OF THE RECEPTIONISTS, HAD A RUDE ATTITUDE AND HUNG UP ON ME !!! THIS IS NOT HOW AN AGENDY SHOULD BE RAN! THEIR VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THEY TELL YU ONE THING, MAKE IT SOUND GREAT AND THEN DO ANOHER . I ASKED THEM SEVERAL TIMES WHAT MY PAY WAS AND YHEYNEVER WANTED TO TELL ME. BUT I WAS PROMISED $13+ BECAUSE IVE BEEN A CNA FOR 3 YEARS! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. THEY ROB YOU, THEIR RUDE AND VERY UNORGANIZED! I DO NOT RECOMMEND SENDING YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS TO BE UNDER THEIR CARE!! ITS A SCAM!!!! THEY BREAK SEVERAL HIPPA RULES AND THEIR NO ECENWORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY AND CARE OF THEIR CNA'S! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

There is no negative about this establishment. They always respond back, and schedules and they make sure to remind you. They have been nothing but good to me. I'm a current employee.

I am experience cna with clean background and i reply to bright star in elmwood park few times thru careerbuilder. Few times i even did follow up call after applying. I was always told some one would call me back. Never heard from them. Went back to school to for another certificate and i got talk some of the girls. One of them told me she did apply and bright star elmwood park and was offer job but she was not even cna. What is the point of applying in this place if they denied fair treatment by offering job to people who are not quilfy . Denied fair interview to people who have experience, knoledge and qulifications.
